I have a brain aneurysm, and serious spinal problems. I'm about 9 weeks along and recently saw a high risk specialist because of all the medical problems I already have. (I wasn't trying to get pregnant, but I'm happy about the baby).
The high risk specialist I saw said that they CAN do some surgeries in pregnancy when neccessary. My regular doctor didn't know if they could do the surgery or not. It sounds to me like you need a high risk specialist.
I was a teen mom at 15, too. I wish you all the best with what you decide to do.
You can't have the surgery until after the baby, that is what the doctor told you. I would suggest you talk to your doctor about the black outs and see what they can do for you. I'm very sorry about your condition, perhaps there would be a way for you to still keep the baby and do the surgery after. There is a lot to consider, abortion is a very personal choice and so I can't tell you that you should do that. I think your life comes first and if it's more dangerous to keep this baby then perhaps it's not the best time to have one. You being young is not the reason here, you having a brain tumor is. Have you discussed your options with your parents?
