AMA and ATG test results...Plz help!

Hello!

My sister (17) had hypothyroidism for about 6 months (2yrs ago). She had been on L-thyroxine till about 4-5 months ago. Then her TSH levels dropped below normal and never came up, so she was taken off L-thyroxine Recently she started complaining of the same symptoms again, and upon my insistence, we got a ATG (anti-thyroglobulin antibody) and AMA (anti-microsomal antibody) ELISA tests done along with a host of other tests done. She has Tested a Definitive positive for AMA, and the test for ATG is in the higher bracket of the equivocal region being 310.35 (negative 325) , so it's not entirely certain.

Her TSH levels are elevated again being 14.85 (normal - 0.3-5.5), whereas T3, and T4 are normal.

I am not sure of the next course of action.. Please suggest what i should do.
Also, my general physician has started her on L-thyroxine 50mcg/day and prednosolone. I'm not sure if its the right course. Please clarify.
Thank you

My mistake regarding the ATG Numbers...the positive for the test is >325 equivocal being 225-325.

"What is her Free T3 and Free T4 levels?  (not just T3 and T4) "

I don't have her FT3 and FT4 numbers, coz somehow the lab messed up. But the T3 and T4 levels are bang in the middle of the normal range. And she doesn't feel good. That's a fact.

She is also sensitive towards cold, and is highly underweight and frail.

"her TSH levels dropped below normal and never came up, so she was taken off L-thyroxine Recently she started complaining of the same symptoms"

- Its my guess she was on too high of a dose, so she went towards hyper. I dont know why the doc didnt just lower her dose.

What is her Free T3 and Free T4 levels?  (not just T3 and T4)

It might be entirely possible to hae elevated TSH with T3 and T4 in the lower end of 'normal'. Lower end would not make you feel very good though.
