A toxic nodule can cause labs like yours. "Nodule" is unfortumately a very generic term that encompasses many different kinds of overgrowths in the thyroid. A toxic nodule is also called a toxic adenoma or an autonomously functioning nodule. (If you want to do some reading, just make sure you're reading about the right kind of nodule.) You can also check out Plummer's Disease.
A toxic nodule functions kind of like a little, tiny thyroid within your thyroid. It produces mostly T3, and it's acting on its own. It doesn't need TSH from the pituitary to stimulate it to produce T3. It just keeps making T3 indiscriminately.
An ultrasound will show nodules and can usually confirm a toxic nodule.
Please post your latest results when you get them. If the lab's not the same, you'll have to post the new ranges as well.
25 mcg is a very low dose. If you think it's making you feel worse, I think it would be fine to follow the doctor's advice who told you to discontinue until you get this more sorted out.
OOPS *ultrasound* what could that show and could that cause my odd results?
No ultra or antibodies test yet I will be asking for that probably tomorrow. I am on Levothyroxine 25mcg.
I know you've posted before, but is there anything else you can add to help us?
What are you taking for thyroid meds?
I can see the doctors' confusion to some extent. Your FT3 is very high, top of range, which is likely to give you hyper symptoms, like high BP and HR. On the other hand, your FT3 is below range, indicating that you are hypo. Your TSH is right in the middle, giving no clear cut indication.
Have you had a thyroid ultrasound?
