Are Naturopaths able test for free T3 & T4

I've posted a few times with my numbers, etc. and with the info that my doc will not test for free T3, and I only have the figure of my TSH being 3.90 which I've read is pretty useless (though it's been as high as 9 - last year).  This January finally after 2 years they will test my free T4.  I am currently on .075mg of Levo (up from .50mg a month ago) and still feel tired and exhausted - nevermind the other symptoms.

Would a naturopath be able to do the above testing for me - or do they not have access to the same tests as general practitioners?  I will bite the bullet for the cost of this if I know that something meaningful can be gained from seeing one.

I ask because I'm trying to stay in control of this - and not simply succumb to the laziness/ignorance and "looking down on the masses" that seems to permeate even the newly-taught residents that see me.

Mymedlab.com is another. More expensive in the states and sometimes use the same lab as the other one.

Yes, paying is - but so is being under-treated for years and suffering from that.

I will research them in my area.

Yes, I see MB now. Have noticed before sometimes when you scroll across someones name (blue) it displays info and sometimes not. Must be an internet thing.

Any way they might offer that service up there also if you cant find doctor within ins. coverage. Paying is a bummer, but its something.

I dont know what country your in, so I'll assume its US.  It is helpful to list that info on your profile.

Here is a web site that uses labs in every US state  TSH with free t3 and free t4 for under $100, consumer friendly.

I will call around.  I don't look forward to spending the money on one, but if they're registered I may be able to use my insurance.....

Thanks.  It looks like it's worth calling around.

Some naturopaths are also registered medical practitioners, most aren't. They can often write a pathology referral but often ask you to go to a GP to request it.

Do the ring around and ask the question of the naturopaths in your area if they can or can't do the testing for you. Then you can take it from there.

My Naturopath's father is a GP so he gets me the lab request through him.

Being pro-active is the only way to keep our heads above water with this rotten disease!
Cheers!
