Got my results back:
TSH 1,6 (0,5-4,0)
T4 17 (12-22)
T3 4 (3-6,5)
I took T3 medication, 10 mcg, to se if I would feel some change, but nothing.
And you might be. Low free t3 causes depression. I have it, so do a lot of folks on this board. I opted out from taking these antidepressants, though some on here say that they feel great on them. Just keep in mind, that more than likely your symptoms are from the thyroid, not because you are depressed. Some endos give antidpressants as an excuse because this is an easy way out of trying to fix your thyroid. I just found out that drug companies get kick backs for prescribing these meds as well....
Hello! I want to thank everyone for replies! Normally so, does not my TGab fluctuate. They have been steady increasing every year while I was taking Levaxin (T4). But with Efra, TGab increased drastically compare to how much they usually increase every year with T4. When I again began taking only T4 in order to just see what would happen, the TGab went down! First time ever!.
My other hormones, especially TSH fluctuate very much. For example, I took 8 of July TSH and it was 4, 11 July, it was 1,3, 15 July, it was 2, 3. (Reference 0, 35-5, 5)I took the tests so head until each other just in order to show the doctors how my values could fluctuate because they did not believe me before. But I got no reply on why they fluctuate so much. In any case, I believes that it is the antibodies that s causing my symptoms. I don’t know ore feel when my TSH is 9 or 1. I also have bio identical hormones I believe it is called, but I’m not taking them either
I do not dare to try Efra again because of increased antibodies with Efra. I will take test for hormones tomorrow and to check how my values are. My doctor has prescribed antidepressant because he believes that I am depressed
Those numbers are actually pretty good regardless. Mine fluctuated from 1200 to 12000 on different tests. dont think it made a hill of beans, just happened to be the day/time they tested. With the thyroid gone, im down to like 40 or something. I wouldnt concern myself too much with this.
It's not unusual for antibodies to fluctuate. I doubt seriously that it was the ERFA that caused it.
If you felt better on the ERFA, you should get back on it and not worry about the antibodies, because they aren't what's causing your symptoms. Those are caused by the hypothyroidism and when you don't take the proper medication, your hypothyroidism gets worse, as it is now.
