I'm sorry that your pathology came back with cancer. Welcome to the elite club :-(
RAI is really no big deal - it's getting hypo (hypohell we call it) that is the worst but, since you just had the surgery, you probably won't be going through the mess that most of us have.
Lori gave you a great reference site for RAI. Follow the diet (contact the nuclear medicine department at your hospital too - they may have some additional protocols). Remember, you can't have any vitamins or mineral supplements while you are on the Low Iodine Diet (LID) - many people forget that.
Can't wait for you to join our *very* elite GLOW club too. :-( :-( (double frown)
Hang in there.

I just replied to your previous post. Ooops! Sorry that the report didn't come back the way you would have liked, but ChitChat is right. You've come to the right place. Many of us have been through it, and then some.
Go out to www.thyca.org. Lots of great information out there regarding thyroid cancer, RAI, you name it. And of course, if you have questions, ask on here.
Welcome to the club!

It is the double smile club ::)) .... so sorry but you are in the right place ... this board will make it so much easier for you I am certain!

I'm sorry to hear your path report came back that way. I hope the RAI goes easy for you.
My endo says that she is almost positive mine is cancerous, as well (my TT is next week), so I would be interested to hear about the RAI, as well.
My prayers are with you - best of luck!!
