I'm love'n the "internet endo" comment .....
so true to a degree :)
1. You can have an excuse to kick back on the couch and not feel guilty.
2. Craving starch and sugar is OK with it
3. Flare ups of intolerable anger at the drop of a hat can be excused by saying: "It's MY thyroid making me like this!"
4. Being a scatter brain is acceptable
Before I was diagnozed my daughter just thought I was fat and lazy.
I wondered why I was going into such deep sleeps all the time and the brain fog was imbarresing in Sunday school because I would start to talk and the go blank.I was getting some very strange looks.I could barely walk,I think I had had hasi for at least 6 years before I really got bad.My hair is thin,I am losing weight,my eyelids swell sometimes and I do not know what to eat so I am living on oysters and potato chips.
My dogs love me and they love to sleep as much as I do..BTW ya'll are very funny:)
Made my day.
Boy..you got that one right Tam lol !
I know more about the medical side of things than life itself!
Even working in a High Care Dementia Nursing Home was great as I didnt feel 'out of place ' when Brain fog hit lol :)
One more reason...
6. You can become a certified 'internet' endocrinologist.
My hubby knows I'm really sick, but now I think he's tired of me rehashing my symptoms and complaining. He is always trying to change the subject when I talk about my thyroid. I have to try to be more positive around him. That's one reason why I joined this group. I know everyone here won't get sick of my complaints.
