I am 25 years old. I am currently seeing a Rhuematologist and undergoing a few tests. All of my Thyroid tests came back fine. I have tested positive for Rhuematic Factor as well as show signs of inflammation in my blood work. After talking to my doctor (and with my mom having had thyroid cancer) I wanted to make sure my thyroid was okay. (I have gained some weight but mostly there is a pressure in my throat and my voice has become hoarse. (Swolling at times is awkward) I also am dealing with very bad fatigue, joint pain; as well as dry skin, eyes, mouth, well dry everything. I did not have the antibodies for Sjogren's. I had an ultrasound of my Thyroid, which they found a "simple" cyst. I am going for a lip biopsy in a few weeks to see if I have the Sjogren's. Is this no big deal? Should I see an endocrinologist? Or just stick with my Rhuematologist? I also have a history of ovarian cysts (which I treat with birth control) is this tied into the cyst on my thyroid?
