FOR A NEW DOCTOR.
I wouldnt put up with that cr@p either.
SuperSally is right.
Oh ya I also got the old desiccated is no better then T4 only.....
I turned to the student what he has learned about TSH he fumbled for words the doctor says he is just a first year med student. Well after how common he told me hashimotos is maybe they should be teaching these first year med students about it!
Ugh this guy he had a student in with him and he started checking my reflexes and turns to him and says yep see not hypo she would have relaxed reflexes....Hello I don't know how much is to that to begin with but I am hypo on treatment I am not plane ol hypo anymore. Then has me hold out my hands and pushes his against mine to see how bad I am shaking and says well I don't think you are very hyper...HELLO I am getting upset her and nervous yes I am shaking slightly. I don't shake otherwise.
My blood pressure was 100/70
Temp was 97.1
i mean t3 ha ha do that all the time
yes forever i have learned that the one who are supposed to be good sometimes are not so good. i wish they d get this all figured out and get on the same page- we have enough to contend with. i really like my dr but recently found out that she doesn t really know how to treat with t6 meds- so i am treating myself. it gets lonely and risky. i feel your pain loud and clear.
The Dr. is wrong. The Frees (FT3 and FT4) are not protein bound - that is why we use them. Total (t3 and t4) are protein bound and useless.
You should be medicating based on FT3 and FT4. It is not unusual for TSH to be suppressed during therapy with thyroid meds.
Oh dear! Yes, go back to your obe. Just reassure him you have no hyper symptoms..... HR low, BP fine, etc. etc.
Best wishes.
