My tsh was 2.28
T4 9.0 both of which were in range..Dr switched me to 150 mg Synthroid( no generics) and so far the palpatations are dissipating ,however I also suffer from a seizure disorder and take 200 mg Dilantin daily and have had seizures the past 4 days..very small ones, but battling them just the same.
dr. Is ordering a heart workup and now I will have to go back to neuro.
I thought that I was home free and all my meds evened out until this ,now I'm a mess and back to square one...
I guess I'm like a million others and just want my life back!
Some symptoms of thyroid conditions can "cross over" from hypo to hyper, so yes, you may feel hyper and hypo at the same time.
We'd need to see current blood test results for TSH, Free T3 and Free T4 in order to give much insight into your situation. Please post whatever thyroid labs you have and be sure to include reference ranges, which vary lab to lab, so must come from your own report.
What was your thyroid dosage prior to going to the 175 mcg? Sounds like you might have been bumped up too much, all at once. It's always better to increase by the very smallest increment possible, because sometimes, it doesn't take much to be too much.
