Not what I was hoping for.....Interested to see what new Endo has to say tomorrow.
I'm not very well versed on hyperthyroidism, but I did some searching and found several sources that indicated that the half life of Tapazole was about 4-6 hours, which means that it is fast acting. So it appears that the drop in T4 over the four days was due to the meds.
I also found this old thread that provides some further assurance that the effect is fairly quick.
how long does it take for meds to work?

I recently increased my dosage of tapazole because I had a return of symptoms, particularly anxiety and nervousness. The symptoms are worse in the morning and subside by late in the day. How long will it take for the increase in meds to curb the edginess I am feeling and why is it worse in the morning?

You should notice a difference in a week or so.
Why it is worse in the morning is a good question.
