TSH of 153 is very high (should be around 2). Do you have the reference ranges off the lab slip for freet3 and free t4? TSH is actually a signal from the pituitary gland that more thyroid hormone is needed for the body to function properly. It can effect many things and cause many symptoms including the ones you listed (high colesterol, weight gain, and tiredness- just to name a few) My daughter was born without a thyroid gland, and has always and will always be on thyroid hormone replacement. You need to see an endocrinologist if possibe and the sooner the better.
Thank you for caring TSH is 153 T3free1.0 T4free.01 T4total.9
While I am not happy that I need to take anything in the scheme of things thyroid replacement isnt bad to contemplate Have been tired and gained weight
I tried to bump your post back to the top for someone who knows more about the Hashimotos antibody levels to post. If 3000 is high, which I think it is, then that does not mean you have thyroid cancer, though nodules should certainly be checked for and screened if found in my opinion. Is your thyroid gland enlarged at all (goiter)? What the antibobies do is attack your thyroid and make it produce less and less thyroid hormone over time making you hypothyroid. You said that the t3 and t4 came back low, was that in range or out of range? Also, was it the FREE t3 and T4 that were tested? If you'd like to post the labs with reference ranges we will comment on them. If the freet3 and freet4 are too low, then that means that some thyroid replacement may be needed. Are you having any symptoms? Also, was a TSH test taken, and what did it come out as with ranges please.
