Well, I was about to write a quick response and say no. Then I looked at a very long list of symptoms that may be related to hypothyroidism. The following were shown as eye related.
Poor focusing
Double vision
Dry eyes
Gritty eyes
Achy eyes
Blurred vision
Drooping eyelids
Sensitive to light
Frequent tics in the eyes
Spasms of the eyelids
Bulging of the eyeballs
Red inflamed eyes
Dark rings under eyes
Puffiness around the eyes
Rapidly shifting gaze making you feel dizzy
Problems with night vision
Glaucoma
Cataracts
So who knows for sure? And why would it only affect your right eye? And would adequate treatment for your hypothyroidism eliminate it?
The only thing I know for sure is that you need to make sure you are being adequately treated for your hypothyroidism. On that I can be of a lot more help, if you will tell us about any other symptoms you have, and also post your thyroid related test results and reference ranges shown on the lab report. Also, what is your daily dosage of Levo?
One of my symptoms of hypothyroidism is eyelid drooping. Interestingly the right eyelid is notably affected.
Excerpt from Eye Problems Associated With Hypothyroidism by Dr Tina M St John...
"Drooping eyelids, or ptosis, commonly occurs in people with hypothyroidism, notes the medical reference text "Harrison’s Principles of Internal Medicine." The level of thyroid hormones in the body influences nervous system control of the eyelid position. Decreased nerve stimulation of the eyelids associated with hypothyroidism leads to eyelid drooping. Severe ptosis may partially obstruct the field of vision."
