Is this normal

In may I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. In june I had a completion thyroid lobectomy followed in August by radioactive iodene therapy. Since this I have been experiencing tiredness, racing heart, palpatations, shortness of breath.

I am currently taking 150mg thyroxine a day. My last blood tests showed TSH - 1.7  T4 - 5  T3 - 5.1

is this normal or should my medication be adjusted?

Call and ask your doctor to have another set of labs run ASAP.  You are about two months post-RAI which is when your labs are leveling out and you may be over medicated.  You need your labs run now to determine if your meds need to be reduced.  Don't put this off - I've been through this and ended up in the ER.  Not fun!

The symptoms sound like hyperthyroid, but the labs don't follow suit.  When were the labs taken?  Were you having symptoms at that time?
