Need help... new test totally different from 2 wks ago?

I had labs done recently that conflict with the previous tests

Free T4 1.18 (.82-1.77)
TSH 1.1 (.5-4.5)
Cortisol 17.6 @ noon (2.3-11.9)
T3 141 (71-180)
sedimentation Rate 6 (0-20)

thyroid stim immunoglobulin are still out

PREVIOUS Test (2 weeks earlier)
Free T4 .8
TSH .8

Why have these changed so much? I started taking birth control pills after the first set of test, would that change the tests? Also why is my cortisol elevated... what would make it a little higher than normal?

Thanks for the help

So does that mean my tests now should be lower or higher? I am not on any meds, I am new to all of this, even though I have had symptoms for a while.

He has not sent me for any other tests, except tomorrow I have a thyroid scan and uptake. Not sure if it's relevant, but as a kids I did have precocious adrenarche. My DHEA-S a month ago was 288 (range 45 - 270 ug/dL). So now...

I have a slightly elevated DHEAS, slightly elevated cortisol, low but normal TSH, low but normal Free T4... WHAT IS THAT?!? Why are all of these test so opposite of everyone else. Most people have high dheas and low cortisol or high cortisol and low dheas. I don't get it. What am i missing here? Should I be looking at something else?

Thanks for the help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
