2 years ago I was diagnosed w/Hashimotos. I was put on Synthroid and Cytomel and I seemed to even out okay. about 3 months ago, my regular lab tests came back showing my numbers had moved toward hyper. At first my dr lowered my dosage of synthroid and took me off the cytomel. The next set of labs showed that I was still moving toward hyper. I was taken off all meds. Most recent set of tests, which now included SI, indicated that my TSH is still hyper, T4 & T4 moving toward "normal" but TSI tests positive for Graves. My dr is recommending radioiodine ablation, since she's concerned that I am that person will tend to shift between Hashi's and Graves and will always feel totally lousy because of it. I know what it feels like to be hypo, so I think I can deal with treating that. But bouncing between the two is more than I can handle. Thoughts and suggestions?
