Nodule on Thyroid

In 2004 a lymph node enlarged on my left neck.  A CT scan was done and it was determined it should be watched and followed yearly.  It had not changed much until recently -- my most recent scan showed the enlarged lymph node (not painful) had grown and I now have a small solid nodule on my right thyroid.  Additionally, a scan of my torso showed mutiple lymph nodes throughout my cervical area that are enlarging as well as multiple nodes in my abdominal region as well.  Obviously my doctor is concerned.  He's sending me asap to a doctor hoping to have a biopsy.  My other symptoms are overwhelming fatigue, night sweats that are very yucky to say the least and back pain that goes to my side.

I was wondering if anyone had thoughts?

Thank you ChitChatNine for your welcome!

My t4 is .9 - the range is .8-1.8 so even though it's in the normal range I'm wondering if it's too low for me.

I received my ultrasound report and it says that there is overall decreated vascularity of the thyroid suggesting hypothyroidsim -- so I probably have found an answer to my fatigue.  I'm grateful.

The ultrasound report also says,

"Heterogeneous echotexture mass in the mid to inferior pole of the right lobe of thyroid measuring 1.2 x 0.8 x cm with a heterogeneous echotexture lymp in the submandibular region.  Considering the solid lesion - metastatic lymphadenopathy should be considered.

My appointment is next Friday with the ENT.  Does anyone have any suggestions or thoughts or questions I should ask.  Any thoughts would be so appreicated!

Thank yoU!

Hi,

Have they done a thyroid panel bloodtest?  What is your TSH?

In the meantime there's tons of info on our health pages on the biopsy.  How large is the nodule?  Any characteristics noted?
