What foods affect thyroid if you are hypo?

I am hypo with symptoms of hyper due to too much medication.  What foods affect or may cause problems with the thyroid?

thank you for guiding me in that direction.  I too have to have my sugar and coffee before leaving for work.  Get up at 5 and downed a pot before leaving the door.

I know some patients can't tolerate caffine or sugars.  I think it really depends on the patient/person.  I find I can't function with out the above.  There are some really good books out there that give you some better insights on the food issue and the thyroid.

I just started reading Thyroid for Dummies.  It's very easy to read and shares some good info.  I know there are better books out there, but I'm trying to start small and work my way up.
