PT done-home and have a few questions

Hi Everyone~

Well it is over.  I had a PT done on the left lobe for a very large nodule.   What they thought was the size of a golf ball was actually a small plum!  It grew in towards my chest wall.  So far benign pathology - praying really hard it stays that way!  I am very sore and tired with a headache.  I have a few questions.  I have a little tingling in my left knee and foot - but they tested my calcium before I left the hospital and it was within normal range - 8.5.  Do you think this is normal?  Also, I feel like I have "stuff" in the back of my throat and my chest hurts - I try to cough it up but nothing happens - is this normal?  I I feel like I have been hit by a bus.

Thank you to everyone who has helped me get through this!

I had a PT years ago, and yes your chest will be sore, like someone sat on it during surgery.  Also, your going to feel like you have a sore throat, but thats from the tube they stick down there, so you can breathe.  Try not to worry, a couple of weeks and you should feel a lot better.

Geez - I think that calcium reading is a little low. Normal ranges on my lab work is 8.4 - 10.2

I would consider calling and asking your doctor what the reference ranges were and if they are the same as what I wrote I would definately suggest to the doctor you are at the way bottom of the range and think he needs to look at some calcium treatment.
