Pre-surgery psych out?

The last few days I have had a headache (only taking Tylenol per my surgeon), feel totally tired/worn down and just basically like doo doo.  I am having my TT on Friday, but didn't expect to feel like this in advance of it.  Is it possible that the stress of this situation has finally caught up with me, or is this cancer related?  Ugh.  I really wanted to go into this feeling good, but as of right this second I wish I was having my TT tomorrow b/c I really don't want to feel like this anymore :(

I was diagnosed with Papillary, maybe this is effecing my thyroid?  I feel like I'm swinging between hypo and hyper and have never been either.

Hang in there .. we are here for you .. probably stress ... and Tylenol will do much of nothing for that ... try to do something for you this week .. maybe nails or something just you can enjoy for you .. get a sitter and try to relax .. I know it is easier said than done.

Thinking of you ,

It's stress.  Just the idea of  "Cancer" can cause all sorts of stress headaches, stomach problems, etc.   Here's a great trick that my massage therapist taught me for my constant stress headaches:

When going to bed:  Take one of those frozen gel packs (the blue kind), fold it in half lengthwise, put it into a thick cotton sock (athletic type). turn off all the lights, put on some soothing music, lay on your back with a pillow under your knees (to take stress of your lower back), and put the frozen roll under your neck.  You don't want to put heat on your neck but ice to relieve the inflammation from the tension.   It makes a world of difference for me.

Stay strong - we're here for you.

I can only speak on how I feel pre surgery, and I DEFINITELY think its the stress that's doing it to you.  MY GOD, the stress has made me feel weak, tired, wired, nauseous, the list goes on and on.

The only good thing I've felt is hydrated, and that's because I'm forcing myself to drink between 2 and 3 litres of water a day.  PLEASE DONT FORGET TO DO THIS, Shannon.  Being hydrated is very important, now and for surgery.

Trust me, your surgery will be here before you know it, just try to enjoy this time (and every day) and dont waste it worrying and making yourself sick.
