gastroparesis and thyroid?

Just got diagnosed with gastroparesis. Took Reglan and felt fine for 1 month. Am taking Domperidone and feel horrible. Am wondering if there is a connection, too, with a thyroid nodule I have and low TSH levels (.19)
I am worried about the complications of the paresis. Where do I begin to try to deal with this and help myself?

This discussion is related to Gastroparesis from Hypothoidism .

I am finding that endocrinologists are not really interested in the thyroid (!) unless you present with glaring numbers or symptoms. ANyone else feel the same. I feel like I need to do all the research . Are they not the doctors? Why the hesitancy to treat anything till it is really advanced and maybe already done lots of damage?

It may well be connected. From what I have read gastroparesis is related to auto-immune diseases.  Have you had Free T3 and Free T4 and antibodies done for your thyroid? TSH on its own is not enough to diagnose a thyroid condition.  The nodule may or may not be causing you any thyroid troubles.
