Rai again

Has anybody been through Rai twice?  I was just informed that my whole body scan was positive for activity on the right side of my neck so I am going off synthroid tomorrow and I will find out when I will see the radiologist for this rotten procedure.  Anybody have  advice on what I should ask the radiologist who will be giving me the Rai?  My last Rai was 2/4/08 and I received 108mci so I wonder if it is going to be higher and what to expect the second time around?

MD Anderson has decided i don't need the RAI due to mine being a microcancer. So for now its a wait and see thing. Had a full bloodwork up done last week just waiting on the results.

What was it like at MD Anderson,I have sent all my paperwork to them for a 2nd opinion because i was suppose to go for RAI last tuesday and my doc backed out of St. Jons hospital and said he wants me to go to MD Anderson instead and hear i went thru 6 and a 1/2 weeks of hypohell and LID diet after having a total thyroidectomy and now i have to do it all over again. I was diagnosed with Microcarcinoma variant of Papillary carcinoma 0.5 cm at surgery and my whole body scans that were done a couple of weeks ago showed a moderate uptake on the left and a little in the middle and on the right. My thyroglobulin test that was just done is 16.9 and my Thyroglobulin antibodies were 20.

Can you tell me how long it took you to get into MD Anderson and how long it was before treatment and what was it like?

I can't believe you have to go through that twice....that is a horrible treatment and you'd think they would have figured out a better way of treating thyroid problems by now.
I will keep you in good thoughts...
