Thyroid/Hashimoto's Dr in the Kansas City area

Hello,
You helped me with a list of doctors a few months ago, but unfortunately none of them worked out. Thank you for the info though!!

My symptoms are changing, and I just can't seem to get anywhere with my regular doctor. I had a terrible experience with an Endo once, and I'm scared to go to another one. I have been hypothyroid for 20+ years, and was diagnosed with Hashimoto's last year. I've had to drop my Synthroid from .88 down to .75 and drop the Armour completely. One day I was fine, the next I was getting too much. Now, I started having heart palpitations just from the Synthroid. I haven't taken it for 2 days and the palpitations are going away so I know it's directly related to that. I am gaining weight just breathing air it seems, yet the medicine has become too much all of a sudden. I don't know what to do. In Nov 14, my TSH was 0.005 uIU/mL , that was before dropping the Armour and lowering the Synthroid.  In December it changed to 0.209 uIU/mL. I am so tired of being tired and not having enegy, and just don't know who to turn to at this point. It seems everyone only looks at the TSH levels and won't really look further.

Thank you for any advise you can offer!!

I appreciate all the info you have provided, so thank you very much!  I'm going to ask for a thyroid ultra sound when I see my regular dr in the morning.

Meant to mention that it appears that I am zero for 4 in doctor recommendations for you.  LOL  I'll keep looking for another.

Your latest set of labs from 12/30 show that your Free T4 and Free t3 are much too high, in fact they are over the range.  So, it is no wonder you started feeling hyper.  Since your meds were not changed, that makes me think that since you said you were diagnosed as having Hashi's, perhaps nodules have formed on your thyroid gland, as the destruction has proceeded from the Hashi's.  Nodules can leak thyroid hormone faster than normal and cause a Hashi's patient to cycle from hypo to hyper and back.  I suggest that you should ask your doctor to do an ultrasound on your thyroid gland to confim if that is the problem.

Thank you! One of the doctors wasn't accepting new patiens, one was convicted of tax evasion, and the others didn't take insurance. I was taking .75 Synthroid but have not taken it for 2 days. I take fish oil 1000 mg 2 X per day, D3 5000 mg, and a multi vitamin. These are my most recent lab results. I don't know if I've ever had my ferritin level checked.

I expect that the list of doctors came from me.  Unfortunately I don't have any other prospects right now.  To help with additional searches, could you  tell me why none of the doctors worked out, without listing any names, please.

For now, please post your thyroid related test results and reference ranges shown on the lab report.  Also, if tested for Vitamin D, B12 and ferritin, please post those as well.  What med and dosage are you taking now?
