Thyroid hypo in 59 yo male

am a 59 yo male with known heart problems  IE:   8 heart attacks,  1 stent in RCA,,  ICD placement     CHF   COPD      lately i been really tired,,  no energy ,, light headness,, for getfull at times,,,   will sleep 12 -16 hours daily,,   do not sleep well at night time  toss and turn alot,,     can any of this be related to Hyprothroidisum or just my thyroid ?   This Friday i will be admitted to the hospital  to have my ICD  re-programmed  ( NIP procedure).      a outpatient procedure.     Thank you for any help or advice to ask my physican ?    John

ICD ( Implantable cardio defibular)   have not had test for thyroid  so do not know if i have it or not.    havent had a complete metabolic panel in over a year now.   will ask about doing a test and to check on these minerals and vitamins.   also have them check my thyroid too.

I know what CHF and COPD is, and I have a fairly good idea of what an ICD is. I do not share those conditions, but I understand what you are talking about.

The memory problems and the sleep issues may be thyroid related. Have you been diagnosed with hypothyroidism, or had thyroid bloodwork done?

A complete metabolic profile might be worth asking for to see if you have deficiencies in any vitamins or minerals. Also Selenium, magnesium, and vitamin D tests.

Thyroid tests, of course, unless you have done that recently, and are being treated already.
