Thanks for your reply. My last labs were tsh .63 (normal .34-4.82), free t4-1.26 (normal.6-1.61) t3 has not been done. I thought hypo would make me sleep too much. Can it also cause insomnia? Heartrate & body temp are low. Not taking any vitamins on a regular basis. Not really eating much & losing weight.Someone suggested thyrodor. Do you know if that would help or should I just see if she will switch me to armour or synthroid?
Palpatations are when you are overmedicated mostly. A T3 med may do that for you - but if you are low on Free T3 then you may need help with that.
From what you wrote about your endo - it sounds like they aren't very good at helping a thyroid patient.
It sounds you really do not know much about your condition.
your Levo IS a T4 med so you doctor is giving you that. Levoxyl is generic - and may be inconsistant dosages of .112 T4 med and may be the cause of feeling so bad. Switch to Synthroid or Armour.
It sounds to me that you are slipping into hypothyroidism and you need to up your meds or get a T3 added to it.
What are your last labs? We need to see the TSH - Free T3 and Free T4 lab numbers. For starters your TSH lab should be around a 1.0 to feel OK and may need a tweek to be opitmal. Also Free T3 should be high.
You are in "brain fog" right now as many hypos call it. this is a common symptom of you not being in check with YOUR levels to make you well and your doctor either has to work with you or you need to learn about your condition and tell him you want help.
No sleep med is going to help you until your hypoT is under control. Xanax will help calm the brain and relax you - but until all is optimal you will feel bad.
Many hypos get depleted in supplements - mainly B's magnesium and zinc. what supplements are you taking?
