When you left the hospital, your TSH as 8.9, and your T4 was .009. Is .009 correct? What's the reference range on that? It's on your lab report. Does that test day FREE T4 or FT4 or just T4?
Your current labs are:
TSH 31.04
FT4 0.63
FT3 1.5
What are the reference ranges on those FT3 and FT4? If they were done at a different lab, they may have a different reference range.
I just had more labs done this week, 3 weeks out from the hospital where they said I was subclinical Hyperthyroid with tsh of 8.9 & T4 of .009. I have not been on anything but beta blockers since then to prevent afib from my mitral valve.
New tests say TSH 31.04/ Free T4 direct serum .63/ Triiodothyronine free serum 1.5.
Please post the actual results of your TSH and T4 and provide reference ranges. Ranges vary lab to lab, so you have to post both together. Also, please tell us if that is FREE T4 or total T4. Has your doctor tested FT3?
Do you know the cause of your hypo?
