I don't post much, but I'm always reading here. I'm seeing Endo today, got labs done yesterday. My appt is bumped up 2 weeks because I feel awful, trying to figure out if it's from the Hashi's or something else. Every joint and muscle hurts!
Nothing going on this week thyroid-wise.
Have to schedule an MRI because of various brain stuff going on. Fun!
Also have to go in for more blood tests at some point this week. They're monthly now because of all the meds I'm on.
Getting yet another ultrasound on Herbie on the 28th, probably soon followed by yet another FNA. And yes, I'm finally considering surgery. Still not going to let Dr Doofus touch me with a scalpel. Will head down to Philly if I have to in order to find a decent surgeon.
Go in for blood work this week. Get results when I see specialist...My depression has gone overboard so I need to get this figured out ASAP! I am scared though. I don''t know what is wrong with me, my numbers are all high (TSH and T3) (T4 normal). not to sure what this means. Wish me luck for the 22nd, thats when I see them!! I hope its nothing!
I got the lab reports back from my 3 mo. post TT checkup. My TSH is 18.86. MJ13 my little Sis says I'm way Hypo. So I called my Endo and He upped my dosage. I have my one year checkup from knee replacement on Friday. I may elect to skip that one. Seems like a waste to drive 3 hours, wait in his office for half a day take a bunch of xrays, pay out the (you know) big bucks for him to say nice job! Gas is too high and life too short. Does being hypo make you grumpy and cynical? Guess So!!!
Friday afternoon back to PCP to check thyroid levels. Plus a lot of other stuff. Am loving the Armour! Swelling has gone down imensely. My face looks almost back to normal again!
Surgery Friday morning for recurrent papillary thyroid cancer. I hope he gets it all!
Yippeeeee - no appointments for me this week
Correction... I do have a an appt with my Surgeon this Friday @ 9:30. When I had my stitches out, my surgeon was in surgery so he had is partner take mine out.
He wanted to follow up in two weeks from that point and take a peek himself and see how things are going!
TT Thursday, in NYC. Losing my thyroid to papillomal cancer.
Will use Thyrogen so no hormone-starvation prior to RAI. Friday I start on
25 mcg 1x daily of Compound Thyroid which contains a small portion of T3, mostly it's Synthroid.
Worry that the endo is way too cautious with starting dose.
Friday I come home....I'm staying with parents for one night.... I'm 50 years old and they're healthier than me! /Paul
One week post TT today - wow. Still waiting for the pathology report.
Wednesday I see the nuclear medicine doctor at 11:30 a.m. for my RAI consultation. It's an hour away from here...which means an hour of my husband's driving. Can I take a pain pill first? =)
That's it for me.
Counselling for my supposed stress, (it's called hyperthyroidism brought on by meds being too much! My nerves are shot to heck! I'm so hyper my cats are afraid of me!) Dentist for my teeth which are not so great (Long term severe Hashimoto's related) Apart from that? Just same old same old! :-)
Labs drawn on Thursday to see if my numbers are high enough for repeat RAI!!! Yipee!! Almost there, thank goodness.
Same here, no appointments, just recovering and waiting on pathology (GBM!).
No appointments, just recovering from TT and waiting for Pathology report!
