What do the blood tests mean?

Hi, How is it determined whether or not it is right to start medication for hypothyroid or if you even have it?
My test results have been in the "grey area" whatever that means, for well over a year now, and I suffer from depression, anxiety, high blood pressure, sinus tachycardia, and I'm on a beta blocker. I'm extremely unfit, and I am so tired and have no energy, I can't do anything and feel awful. Is it wise to start meds for hypothyroid even if I'm in the grey area numbers. Thank you to anyone who can help, I appreciate it.

Try to get the lab ranges as well.  They should at least have run TSH and Free T-4.

He said my thyroid number was 4 something, which I did not understand anyway. I will get the exact numbers as well as the other you mentioned, although I don't think any of those tests were done. Thank you so much for helping me.

Do you have the numbers so you can post them for us to see how "grey" the area is??
TSH, Free T4, Free T3 to start with.
