dr lupo help

Unfortunately, at 6 and a half weeks, I lost the pregnancy. It was a natural miss, so I am grateful for that.
I though it would make sense to go ahead with the follow-up US on my 7-8mm complex nodule with possible microcals with the US thyroid specialist that my endo suggested.

Here's what he said (not verbatim):
He cannot determine if there are microcalcifications or not, just some bright spots.  There are no other suspicious characteristics, so it is not overly concerning to him.  My endo on the other hand said that since it went from 7-8ish mm to 9mm (what was read at the specialist) she wants to go ahead with the FNA to be safe.  Is this a fast growth? The tech said you can get different measurements b/c it's kind of like measuring an egg, different spots on a round structure have different measurements.
Is this good news for me in terms of it possibly being cancerous? Are my odds just the same. There is no noted lymph node involvement, and the nodule looks right in the middle of the gland on one side. If it is G-d forbid cancer. is it likely that they will remove part or whole thyroid and NOT use RAI? I would like to try to continue to have another child and I'm hoping that this is caught early enough to nip in the bud at this point.....
any input?
I really appreciate it!
