I am kind of in the same boat as you lalavee. My tt was in June of 2008. My tsh level has ranged from .1 to 50.81 from my only two tests since surgery. The lab my GP uses still has normal as .5 to 5.0, which is archaic. It seems i wait awfully long between tests. You didnt mention weight gain. That's one of my biggest complaints. 25 pounds and climbing. I, too sleep 10 hours and then need a one and half hour nap in the after noon. My hair has thinned and I am loosing a bunch. I feel cold most the time, too. I live in the midwest and our morning temps are in the single digets or less lately. Brrrrr.
I finally got tested again today and luckily my endo has agreed to see me until I get straightened out somewhat. He also agreed to test ft4 and ft3. He did mention a combo treatment with the t3 med if my labs are still messed up. I can hardly wait to hear the numbers. I think you might to try to get to another doctor also if you can. I am hoping my endo helps me out this month.
Oops YES!! get copies of everything you have done ie, blood work, scans, biopsey's.

For some reason some doctors think their patients are don't deserve the truth. Can you possibly find and internist? They seem to know a lot about so much. Sometimes the patient needs to be evaluated based on how "YOU" feel! The thyroid dictates every single cell in the body. Without it you will struggle. Did you have thyroid cancer? Get with a doctor that will listen and has experience. There is nothing worse than feeling horrible and a doctor telling you you are fine. I can relate. I am so sorry you are struggling. Do you have support? What med's are you on?
Hope you get better soon!

When your Endo says your levels are fine, that means they are within the reference range, that doesnt mean they are fine for you or you wouldnt feel like this.
Get a copy of your labs and post them here and other members can help answer your question too.
All the best
Being due for a TT :( my doc said that the people who feel rotten after a TT with levels in range need T3. Plenty of people here know more info on that than me. I just hope I feel great afterwards...
T3! Armour Thyroid?
