One year post op visit

So, I had my one year post op visit this week and all is well.  TSH was .274 and all levels were in the normal range.  He did a sonogram of my neck and said everything looked good.  Based on the sonogram and bloodwork he said I don't need to go back for my thyrogen injections and body scan till August, woo hoo!  I do have to stay on prescription vitamin D though, he said most likely for the rest of my life.  Oh well. I can do that.   I did mention my massive hairloss and he just has no answers for that. He says that when you have too much hormone in your body then hairloss is a side effect. Something I'll have to deal with to stay cancer free.  I don't buy that answer and will keep trying to find a solution. I will not go bald for my thyroid!

I take B12 under my tongue and Evening Primrose but that's it.  How do they check adrenal function?  Is it a blood test?  My hair thing is baffling because my hair is falling out quite a bit but the hair that I do have is growing like a weed.  I just want my hair to stay in my head!

Congratulations on a good report. Are you taking your B vitamins? Adrenals that are weak can cause hair loss as well.
