The larger the dose, the longer it may take to go 'hypo' and also everyone is different.

Mine was 8millicurie which is equivilent to 297 mgs.

And some may  take to a year to go COMPLETY Hypo.

Personally I think you are on your way and not far off.

Doopler means not just a normal ultrasound but one that shows how much 'activity' is going on in the thyroid. Whether the thyroid is STILL hungry  and blood flow a lot or whether the blood flow has slowed down (heading hypo).

Hope that clears that up.
I have an ultrasound from when I was first diagnosed. I will scan it and post it in my profile for you.
Was going to do it at the weekend but things have been pretty hectic.

Can't really add much more than what Deb stated.

I do feel that testing twice in a 4 to 6 weeks period and tracking your labs is best. This way you can see any changes as they are happening to base treatment on if need be at that time.

The previous meds as Deb said - take some time to level off for true functional readings.

It certainly is a process that must be taken slow and appropriate so you don't crash.

Forgot to add...Ultrasound has to be a DOPPLER Ultrasound .

Once the Atds are stopped, your levels will give a 'true' reading.
If you are still hyper....they will go back up again and this is something you must watch for (symptom wise).
Also it may be worth mentioning that even though you have had RAI...it doesnt work straight away. Sometimes it can take weeks, months, up to a year possibibly for the thyroid to 'completely' stop throwing out thyroid hormone.
Depending on the person and depending on the amount of RAI given....the thyroid can be basically 'stunned' to slow production down......and then eventually give up producing hormones.

You will know within 2 weeks of stopping the atds whether you are still hyper or not.
Some even need a 2nd dose of RAI where the first dose hasnt worked.
I remember thinking that I may need a 2nd dose but I was wrong.
I was hypo after 5-6 weeks.
An ultrasound on the thyroid at 6 weeks showed no blood flow to the thyroid.

This would be one thing that you could request from your Doctor.
It shows on an ultrasound whether there is blood flow to the thyroid and also just how much activity.(hormones)
But you would have to be off the atds for 2 weeks for it to give you a true reading and not a false negative.
Let us know how you go.

Labs looking good.ATDS are suppressing TSH...dont even worry about that until you have been off ATDS for 2 weeks.
Numbers looking good...RAI is working.
Once ATDS stopped, you will know as the ATDS keep you med induced hypo.
If the levels go higher after ATDS stopped then it may be a few more weeks.

But looks like you are on your way to HYPO.....give it 2 weeks THEN get labs done...forget the 6 week labs.
Get them done every 2 weeks so that you dont 'crash' too hard.
Dont let the TSH go over 10.0

From the range you listed, it would be 1.85.

Your FT4 is around midpoint of the range, so that is okay.  FT3, which is the most important,  is slightly below midpoint and therefore may be a bit low, but it really depends on how you are feeling.  If you are not having symptoms of hypo, then no problem.  If you have hypo symptoms, then meds would help.

Was the RAI full or partial?  Are you taking any thyroid meds currently?
