try splitting it . thats waht im doing. it might be less of a jolt. i think thats what causing some symtoms to me. take half when you wake up. half 3 hours after you eat lunch no food in between. might level you out. i noticed the shakiness also. i think it's from low t3 and i think too much at one time might cause some symtoms. i noticed the shakiness came back mid afternoon but went away after taking second half. so try that, why not???????? Kevin
Do you ever split a pill in half?
Did you ever take a 24 hr saliva adrenal test which shows results at 4 different points during the day?
The saliva - water test for candida (or any bacteria really) is just the saliva in your mouth. Even if you have this I doubt it could be responsible for as much of the symptoms you have. But non the less, it can be responsible for some.
I cant tell you how much Erfa to take, what ever your doc prescribed. Its best twice perday - less of a T3 'hit' and less 'crashing' later on in the day. Take in morning on empty stomach no food till at least 45 minutes. Later in the day take at least 3 hours after any food, you can also take Erfa sublingual later in the day if you cant go 3 hrs with out food. But however you choose to take it , the key is to be consistent. Maybe just start real low for the first week to get used to it.
Also, The way the system works at Mayo is that you go and see an internal medicine doctor in the beginning. He decides where you are going to go to while you are there. He sent me to about 6 doctors. At the end we had a wrap up. He said that I have a thyroid problem that needs medication. I have a baseline ear ringing, plus multiple other symptoms. My thyroid needs medicine, but when I take the medicine it increases the problems i am having with the shaking and ear ringing. I get about 5 hours worth of hell in, which is around the lifetime of the t3.
I was curious if anyone has ever seen a neuro endocrinologist? He suggested this when i was there.

I was pretty messed up when i posted the above post. I thought I would try the anti depressant one of the doctors wanted me to try. I took it and for the next 9 hours I was dizzy and exhausted. Im not taking it again.
I feel pretty crappy most of the time. My ears ring and my body aches. What is weird is that my body obviously needs some sort of thyroid supplement. Yet when I take the supplement (t4) it makes my symptoms 100 times worse. Its like splashing gasoline on a fire as i stated above.
I had my adrenals tested. I had the blood draw for it. I also had the 24 hour urine. I also had the one where they inject you with cortisol (acth)
I also had the pit tested. They did this when I was at Mayo. I also had an MRI of the pits.
I had my free testosterone tested. I saw the result yesterday. Believe it or not, he said that mine was on the upper end of high. He told me that "this is the one that counts".
I am going to do the saliva test. Do you just spit what is in your mouth into the water, or do you have to "hock one up"?
ON the erfra, Should i just pop one of the .30 when i wake up like I did with the levo? Since I pretty much self prescribed the medicine (told the dr. i wanted it and he gace it to me) im not sure how to take it. It says on the web site that .40=.30 of armour.
thank you!
Did they ever test
1)adrenals (not just AM blood cortisol)
2)pituitary gland, starting with blood prolactin test
3)'free' testoserone?
Do the spit test tomorrow morning when you wake up before you swallow saliva or anything else. Goggle 'candida spit in water test'. You will find it. Spit is a clear glass of water. For healthy people it will float, and will not dissipate or sink or make the water cloudy. Repeat several mornings for accuracy. This is not a joke. It is ancient but accurate, sort of forgotten in the modernization of medical world. It is the best test for bacterial overgrowth (technically an inner body infection) that could be part of whatever is going on with you.
