i really dont know what is real anymore. I stopped taking the t4 for three days and realized that the ringing noise was still there. If i dont take anything, I feel horrible. If i do take something, i feel horrible as well. Its almost like someone is splashing gasoline on a fire.
They said they thought i had a baseline problem unrelated to the thyroid that the thyroid medicine is making worse. But they never said what the baseline problem is.
I took efra today for the first time. took a little less than the .30 pill. I feel exhausted. It seems of of made my ears ring just as hard as the levo.
THey did test me for lymes.
no food allergies
i have never done the morning spit thing.
The thing that ***** is i feel terrible if i dont take any medication, and if i do take some i feel worse. With my tsh at 7.93 at the highest, im not fully convinced that these symptoms are related to the thyroid?
Also the more t4 i was taking, the worse my backpain got.
This made me cringe..........Fibro? That means "we dont know what you have, so lets label it fibro"
They tried that on me once too.
Notice there was no fibro test given while you were at the worlds leading clinic? There is no test. How can they 'label' you with something if there is no test to prove you have it?
I researched this myself sometime ago.
I also asked questions on Fibro forums, like what test(s) are specifically for Fibro? - answer ...none! Its D'xed by a list of symtpoms that can duplicate thyroid and internal body infections.
What do they do for these patients? Pump them full of mood altering sedatives, variations of muscle relaxants and special mixtures of pain killers - we all have seen the commercial for the #1 fibro drug.
On the other hand, in addition to your low thyroid levels have you been:
1) tested for Lymes disease?
2)Any food allergies that you are awawre of?
3)Ever taken the morning spit test for digestive bacterial overgrowth (don't laugh, its accurate)?
Your symptoms could be from low thyroid and something else that mimics thyroid conditions or 'fibro'.
Fibromyalgia is a SYMPTOM not a diagnoses!
My thoughts exactly Stella!
Bruce. The Fibro IS related to the LOW T3 hormone in your blood. I don't want to disagree and it sounds like a thorough work-up is being done but they ( as your doctor in Dallas should) look at the LOW T3 in you.
Lowering your Levo or even eliminating it and putting you on ERFA that you had gotten with your Dallas doctor may be exactly what you need to end all of these issues.
Hey yall,
im DONE!
so whats the most blood you have ever given in one test? I may have you beat.
Im going home tomorrow. In 2 days ive done the following:
23 vials of blood (19 the first time, 4 the second time)
neurologist
endocrinologists x2
agricultural medicine specialist (pain dr)
internal medicine x2 (one of the top in the country)
Opthamologist
ENT
Equilibrium testing
Arthritis specialist
MRI of knees
Oncologist
and on top of everything, I had to pee in these two jugs and carry them around the whole time i was here to test my corticol etc.
My diagnosis is that I have Fibromyalga, and that my thyroid is dying off, but the thyroid medicine is casuing me all these crazy symptoms. They want me to try to cut back on the thyroid medicine and have suggested I go through therapy for the fibromyalga. This place is very depressing. There are a lot of people here that should of been here a lot sooner. Now its too late for them. LOTS of walkers and people in motor chairs. Lots of cancer patients here.
Its been an interesting (and expensive) experience. I would HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone who has problems of any sort. I was literally able to see and get tested a months worth of tests in 2 days.
