Phil,
I had a mild TBI 5 years ago and still struggling with some symptoms imbalance/dizzy, head pressure, fatigue occasional nausea etc., What we all have comes under persistent Post Concussion Syndrome. Whenever they say say syndrome which means no cure just manage.
Tough to find out the root cause since it is concerned with brain, inner ear, eyes etc., I found some medication to manage my symptoms but no cure.
Did doc gave any form of medication? There are many out there but unfortunately it is all trial and error. You can start with supplements like Ginger capsule and then go for any western medicine. Also there are so many alternative therapies like neuro/bio feedback, acupuncture, healing therapy, cranio sacral therapy etc., I tried many so it is a long list.
The medicines can be addictive and should be used as a last resort but sure can give her some relief from suffering.
You can send me a private message if you wish.
Hi Sam!
I was wondering what symptoms are mainly your struggles now?
I fell hard on concrete last March and although I seem fine during the day I'm exhausted by night. Primary driver is significant insomnia due to static sound in my right ear that came on 2 days after the accident. The ENT think this is Tinnitus however it's very different than say Disco Tinnitus which is just a ringing.
I'm 12 months after injury and although I'm able to do alot more things my main symptoms now are night-time dizziness, dizziness when in crowds, extreme insomina, static in my right ear and general fatigue 24/7.
I have not had 1 truly GOOD day since the accident.
