dicomfort in abdomen, feels like I always need to pee and frequent mucus in stool

I have been to my GP several times but to no avail.
I have discomfort in the lower left quadrant of my abdomen and I feel like I constantly need to pee even after peeing.
sometimes it's a lot of urine other times it is a dribble. tonight there was also a quantity if what looked like seminal discharge before urinating.
I have also noticed excessive mucus in my stool - this happens at least once a month in a quantity that concerns me although there is no blood.
This is making me miserable and my GP just isnt getting the problem solved.
