Swollen lymph nodes throughout my neck!
I have 8 swollen lymph nodes in the middle of my neck. 2 nodes are larger than a cm and the others are close to a cm. The nodes swelled up almost four years ago for no apparent reason and have never dissipated. I have had a biopsy done on a nodule on my thyroid which was inconclusive and tons of ultrasounds. They now say to just wait and see what the nodes do. I'm scared! I'm scared I'm sitting waiting for a time bomb but no one will help me. No one was sick when these nodes appeared so there is no real reason for them to b so swollen. I first noticed one on the side if my neck, when the doctor pressed hard on it a week later there was two. They left me under the impression that there was only 2 for almost a year until an ultrasound lady slipped and told me there were 8 and they were on both sides of my neck not just one. Can someone please help me!
You're welcome! If you are a Christian, casting your cares on the Lord helps! Worry can actually be detrimental to one's health. I hope you can get some answers soon- it seems to be a biopsy of lymph nodes would be wise.
Thank you everyone. They did a biopsy on my thyroid because they found a nodule but again that test was inconclusive. They have never tested the lymphnodes themselves. I'm so worried but then I second guess myself and just think I'm over reacting.
Get a new doctor!!!! No doctor that is good will leave you hanging like that. Have you had your thyroid tested? Best wishes, Sissie
I too had the something but I know the waiting game . It's very scary for me also. I found out that I had thyroid cancer not in just one side but both . I had them removed . My dr said that I just need radiation . I take medication for my thyroids. Even know its scary keep on the drs. Keep calling them if u have it found out. I not everyone needs there thyroid removed but I couldn't drink or eat that much .
