Should I worry

I am a 27 year old female. Whenever I have sore throat or in general do not feel well, my neck lymph nodes swell and go back to normal within 2-3 days. This has happened to me since childhood and is recurrent. Recently, however, I have stiff and painful finger joints, only in the mornings, when I wake up; my urine has a strong odor and I feel very tired and lethargic. I am also unable to focus on my work and tend to procrastinate. Sometimes I think it is depression but these days I am beginning to wonder. I will appreciate any advice. Thank you.

Hi
Thanks for writing to the forum!
Sore throat with lymph nodes swelling can be due to bacterial infection/ pharyngitis or due to EBV infection or glandular fever. Repeated infection can cause a run down feeling. However since you have urine odor do get your blood sugar tested for diabetes and rule out fungal infection. Rheumatoid/Rheumatic arthritis too should be ruled out. You must also look at the possibility of sarcoidosis.
It is difficult to comment beyond this at this stage. Please discuss these possibilities with your doctor. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
