Beta Strep UTI

I have had a UTI caused by Group B for months now. Never had the burning or frequency just bladder pain. My first urinalysis came up negative at the doctors but when sent out grew group b. She said it was small numbers but since I was having pain to treat it. We did so with amoxicillin. The pain and peeing at night never went away. I saw a different doctor a few weeks later and this time in the doctors office it showed WBC so he put me on Macrobid and it made me feel better for like 2 days then  not so much. When it was sent out it again came back group b. He put me on amox again for 10 days and then to come back in for another test. It showed no WBC at the office. When sent out it came back with some real low counts of bacteria I guess. He said it would read as a negative? But I still had the symptoms I always had. He thought I should see my gyno. So I made an appointment  and a month later was seen. She did an exam and everything seemed normal. She did a urinalysis and in the office it came back with WBC, ketones and the ph was off. She put me on macrobid-sigh. When it came back it came back as beta strep again!!! She put me on amox again but I am not filling it. I am going to make an appointment with a Urologist. What is the deal!!! I never had any urinary issues. I am freaking out that this infection will never go away!!! Anyone have a UTI caused by this! So annoying.

I'm having the same issues! 4th round of antibiotics in a month. Have either of you found any relief?! Help!

Did you ever resolve this?  I am going through the same thing right now.  On my 3rd course of antibiotics in 6 weeks.  This time, the culture came back as both e-coli and GBS, so I'm on two different antibiotics but they don't seem to be helping yet with the pain.  I have an apointment with a urologist in a couple weeks, but I'm really worried.  I don't want to wait to find out why this keeps coming back!
