Hi,
I can understand the pain & trauma you’re going through. From the description of the symptoms of bleeding occurring at the end of urination and pain at the tip of the penis, the likelihood of the pathology lying in the lower urinary tract is quite high. Since you have already undergone most of the tests, I can’t think of anymore. Maybe a repeat cystoscopy may help in picking up the lesion/pathology as it’s the most specific test which can help to do so. Please discuss this with your urologist. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
Thank you very much for your response. I wanted to add that since my Cytoscopy, I have had blood in my urine, just in higher amounts. They told me this would be normal for 48 hours. I am right at 48 hours and still have bleeding. Same type of symptoms as I described in the initial Post, but now I see a lot of blood come out in my initial stream of urine as well as afterwards. According to your response, it sounds like you think there is a Lesion in my tract somewhere? What would cause this? I can't imagine going through this every month and would like to get it fixed. Thanks for all your help and advice.
This just happened to me about two hours ago and I'm frantically looking for something that is concrete. I just made an appointment with a doctor on the 6th. I'm super afraid of needles and had a foley catheter once. It was the most painful experience of my life. I'm not sure I could handle a cystoscopy. Was it terrible?
I am sorry to hear that you have the same thing. The Cytoscopy was terrible. They put a tube of gel to the tip of my penis and forced gel from the tube into the urethra. That was painful and only the beginning as that was just the numbing agent. Then, they stick the camera through the urethra all the way up to the bladder. They said it wouldn't be bad and I have heard others say it wasn't bad, but mine was very painful. Not sure if it was painful due to my condition, but I thought I was in hell. Not sure if I could willingly do that again. Especially since they didn't find anything wrong. They don't use any needles though. Another thing I noticed this morning is that when I went to the bathroom (half asleep), I sat down to go pee instead of standing. This caused a lot more pain at urination and more blood as well. Did you notice what you were doing that seemed to cause the bleeding?
