Buccal graft urethroplasty

Hello,

I had a Buccal graft urethroplasty two weeks ago. Follow up appointment in another week from today for possible catheter removal.  Doctor said he will do a pericatheter urethrogram to make sure there is no leaks threw the stiches on the urethra. He said if there is a leak catheter stays in for another week. Has anyone heard of the catheter going longer than three weeks ? Or heard of such a leak at the follow up appt. ? I'm really looking forward to this day. I'm becoming very depressed as I'm a burden on my household, missing work and stuck inside. Not mention the catheter is driving me absolutely crazy.

Thank you ,

Hunter

If anyone was interested, it was a bulbar stricture with perineal approach. 3cm long. I had a kidney reflux as a baby and my urethral was damaged by a improper catheter placement as a infant. I had complete retention when I was five and again when I was eleven. I've had 2 DVIUs and countless dilations. Finally at 23 had the urethroplasty. Sorry for lac of info in my initial post.
