Penis stings off and on

Well I got tested for STD's and HIV and of course was all negative like I figured. The reason why I did that was because I have been continuously getting sharp stings in my penis I sometimes don't feel it for days but then it comes back it's sometimes triggered before I urinate and after. Feels like it's my urethra or tip of my penis my left testicle is also more sensitive then the right.

Hi,

An inflammation of the prostate can occur even in someone under 30 and involves symptoms such as pain in the perineal region (between the scrotum and the anus), pain in the penis, pain stimulated by bowel movement, burning sensation during ejaculation, alteration in the color of the semen, etc.

The inflammation may be infective or noninfective.
If it is due to bacterial infection, a course of antibiotics will help clear up the infection.
If the inflammation is due to abacterial causes, such as reflux of sperm causing prostate irritation, too frequent or too infrequent ejaculation, sitting for prolonged periods of time, thin individuals sitting on surfaces with inadequate padding, etc., elimination of the cause supported by antiinflammatory agents will help clear up the inflammation.

An inflammed prostate usually feels enlarged, and tender to the touch.
An ultrasound would shouw whether there is definitive inflammation and a prostate massage test would give an idea of whether there is any infective pathology.

I got my prostate checked to see if it was enlarged, would they have been aware of an inflammation of the prostate. What would be some causes of inflammation of the prostate?

Hi,

Thank you for the additional details.

It is possible that you have an inflammation of the prostate.
Prostatitis may be caused by a bacterial or viral infection, or may be due to noninfective causes.

However, treatment with antibiotics may be required and will be based on the organism detected.

If the prostatitis is due to noninfective causes, it will need to be managed with antiinflammatory agents, and dietary changes.

You can do the following:

Keep fluid intake in excess of 2000 ml per day.
Avoid caffeine. alcohol, and spicy foods.
Limit ejaculation to about 3-4 times a week.
Sit in a hot bath for 10-15 min every day.
Take tylenol for the pain if the antiinflammatory agents do not provide adequate pain relief.

Avoid prolonged sitting, and if on the slighter side, ensure you sit on a surface that has enough padding.

I'm 20 years old, I have not had unprotected high-risk sexual encounters, I ejaculate fine I urinate fine and I think when i have a bowl movement it triggers the sting. It feel like a sharp pain it's off and on i sometime just feel it one's a day i think it's around my penis head. When I sit down i feel it more than when i'm standing.

Without any sexual encounters, can pretty much rule out viral or STD infection acquisition.... have you done anything recently that you think could  have caused any trauma to your pelvis area? research all you can about the "prudendal nerve" and "prudendal neuralgia" and CPPS. This is the case in 90%+ of these situations, usually caused by infection or trauma but can be caused by other things such as stress. Hope that helps.

Cheers

Hi,

How old are you?
Have you had any unprotected high-risk sexual encounters?
An infection of the prostate gland can cause pain in the groin and sensitivity in the testes.

However, a protozoa called trichomonas (spread sexually) can also cause a tingling or tickling sensation in the urethra before and after urination or ejaculation.

You will need to have a urinalysis done to rule out an infection.
Trichomonas can be detected on a microscopic examination called wet mount.

If positive for trichomonas, you will need to go on metronidazole treatment.

Do keep us posted on your doubts and progress.
