I cut myself at the base of my penis near the vein that runs up it. What do I do?

Hi  This morning I was trimming my pubic hair when I nicked a spot at the base of the shaft of my penis.  The cut is right above my scrotum and over the vein that runs up the middle of my ****.  I wasn't using the guard on the trimmer and now I have what looks like 3 little cuts, each about the size of a paper cut and roughly 1cm in length.  The bleeding was spotty and has since stopped.  The area doesn't hurt or burn or anything like that when I urinate and I am still able to ejaculate.  Right now the cuts are just red.    I am just wondering if I damaged the vein and if there is anything I need to do.  I am trying to play it safe so I don't have any problems in the coming days, weeks or months.  Any feedback would be appreciated.  I know I'm probably not the first person to do this.

Nope... not a doctor. I just have a lot of experience in cutting my penis with clippers!

You may want to lay off the self-stimulation for a day or two, at least until the wound closes. And if you just can't stand to not touch yourself, please make sure your hands are clean. The last thing you want is an infection on your ****.

Take care and good luck!

Hey Thanks!  Yeah, they look like just surface cuts, at least not too deep.  It didn't bleed much at all, about the same amount as a mild paper cut.  I figured if it was serious, it would bleed a lot.  It doesn't hurt, only occasionally tingles.  Are you a doctor?  What do I do about self pleasuring activities...avoid them for a few days?

Hi. About a week ago I cut the skin of my shaft while trimming the hair. It is healing as a trench, with a divot in the center and raised edges.  It is not flat like a normal cut on normal skin at all. It is very unsightly.
Is there anything I can do to mitigate this?
Thank you.t

Man, if I had a nickle for every time I've done that, I'd be a rich man!

The things we do for the sake of having a 'manicured lawn' that's nice and pretty to look at... the mind boggles.

If it's stopped bleeding already, then I'd assume the cuts are just 'surface' cuts, correct? Treat the cuts like you would treat a cut on your hand, or arm, or leg, or elsewhere.

Make sure you keep the area clean (use a mild bath-soap, or anti-bacterial hand-soap). Make sure you keep the area dry.
Use a little topical OTC triple-antibiotic (Neosporin). It won't hurt the situation at all, and reduce the chances of scaring. Then again, some chicks dig scars!

I quite literally feel your pain Brother. I've done that more times than I can count.

About a week ago I cut the skin of my shaft while trimming the hair. It is healing as a trench, with a divot in the center and raised edges. It is many shades lighter and very unsightly. It is not flat like a normal cut on normal skin at all.
Is there anything I can do to mitigate the terrible scarring?
Thank you.
