After some difficulty urinating (having to push), I met with a Urologist. He took a urine sample for analysis. My urinalysis and urine culture came up normal; however, my urine cytology report did not.
According to the pathology report, my test was “negative for high grade urothelial cariconoma. However, my urine contained “reactive urtothelial cells, benign squamous cells, inflammatory cells and red blood cells.
Unfortunately, the report doesn’t provide the numbers of the cells, just the presence of them.
Given the results, what would be the next step?
Further blood and urine tests? A cystoscopy?
