Thank you, a couple more things-
I've had them for a long time... probably 3 years. They used to be very small and I paid no attention to them, but they have gradually increased in number. Could it possibly be herpes? I mean can you have MC that long?
They never blister, and they don't go away, or have "outbreaks". They kind of have always been there, but are gradually increasing in number through the years.
If you rule out herpes, then should I call a dermatologist and schedule an appointment for cryotherapy? Does it scar? Thanks.
Hi,
To me also, it seems like molluscum contagiosum only. Usually, it’s a self healing disease but may take a few weeks. However, importantly, sexual contact should be avoided as it’s a sexually transmitted disease. Usually, povidone –iodine is scrubbed for 5 min daily and the lesions fall of themselves. Cryotherapy is also done to take care of lesions by a physician/physician assistant. You can consult a dermatologist for the same and seek treatment. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
