Bleeding scrotum

For the past year or so I have had a small growth inside my scrotum. It is about the size of a marble maybe a little bigger. Mostly there is no pain at all but every on occasion it becomes irritated and it swells and is VERY painful. When it is in this state I can only sleep on my back and it hurts to sit down and walk. After a couple days of this pain it turns a dark purple color and busts. There is quite a bit of blood a little bit of a smelly white substance but mostly blood. It had become a major inconvinience. I know I should go to a doctor but it's so damn embarrasing.

UPDATE if anyone who is experiencing the same problem reads this then please listen closely. Well the antibiotics got rid of this for awhile, then it came back again. i went to the doctor again, and i found out about 4 hours ago its CA MRSA. so please if you have the same symptoms you should definitely get it looked at. the doctor put me on another round of antibiodics, and i guess ill see where this goes.

I went to the doctor today actually. The pain was about too much to bare anymore. They gave me some antibiodics and revered me to a urologist so I should get the the answer shortly so thanks for the reply. I'll update after I go to the urologist that way if anyone has these same symptoms they'll have an idea of what they're up against. Thanks again,
Seth

Hi
Thanks for writing to the forum!
Your case looks more like an infected sebaceous cyst or a hematocele or hydrocele. All would need a surgical removal and antibiotic cover as pain indicates an infection. It is difficult to comment beyond this without examination. Yes, you should go to your doctor. It is embarrassing no doubt, but health comes first. There is no point taking a simple trouble to the stage of complication.
Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
