Lingering urethral sensitivity after sex

Hi,

My issue started probably a month and change ago after a fairly extensive session of unprotected sex with a woman. After an hour or two I experienced a bit of a sharp pain after a thrust, but thought nothing of it and moved on. Since then my urethra has been relatively tender, which is noticeable by palpitation from the head of the penis down through the scrotum. It wasn't anything terrible (and has sense gotten somewhat better, though it is still present, especially after ejaculation) so I haven't sought any medical attention yet, assuming it was a UTI or some sort of overuse related issue, but, though the tenderness has lessened it is still there and drinking water/cranberry juice hasn't helped so I wanted to check in and get a professional opinion.

Prior to the offending incident I had only had unprotected sex with my ex girlfriend of 5+ years so I know I was clean, and though I honestly don't know for sure, I don't think the woman in this case had an STD either (she is very cautious). I am more than willing to get tested just to be safe, but I am curious if there are any other possible explanations. I have not experienced any discharge or obvious signs of infection outside of tenderness, though I think the texture of my ejaculate has changed to being a little more lumpy (which could also be related to diet or a sharp increase in sexual activity perhaps?).

Thank you for weighing in. I tried to be as thorough in history/symptoms as possible but will happily respond if more information is necessary.

Hi Paderla,

Turned out to be Chlamydia. It lingered long enough that I went to see a urologist just to make sure I coverd my bases. A quick Z pack and we're back to business.

Thanks for weighing in!

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello and hope you are doing well.

It could be due to trauma, but it is difficult to diagnose without examining. The causes for the cuts or abrasions on the penile head are dryness, yeast infections, herpes, sexually transmitted diseases, genital warts, allergies and balanitis. They could also be cysts, and infected hair follicles. If there is accompanying swelling, redness, discharge and fever it is most probably an infection. You may need to consult your primary care physician who will examine you and may ask for blood tests to initiate appropriate therapy.

Hope this helped and do keep us posted.

Oh, and another material fact I forgot to include: our sessions would usually be long and include multiple ejaculations on my part, hence why I mention the possibility of overuse. I saw mention of this on the google, though information is scarce. I noticed the onset of the pain after multiple sessions and a lot of sex, and I haven't given it TOO much rest since then. I am mostly curious if it sounds like something that will go away in time or if I should seek medical attention. It hasn't gotten worse, but it also hasn't gone away, so I'd hate to ignore a little problem only to have it come back much worse!

I should mention that I am 28 years old and had not noticed any issues prior to this except for the occasional dribble after peeing. I am in excellent health and have been sexually active for years.
