Foreskin discoloration and soreness + overall discomfort

Hi There,

A month and a half ago, I noticed a slight discolorated band in the skin around the glans. At the time, I had no discomfort of any kind, so I just "kept an eye on it" and it seemed to be OK. A bit later, I felt what seemed to be a slight "tension" when pulling the skin back, specially with the penis erect. Even with that, I have no problems at all pulling the skin -- it just feels a bit "different". Weeks later, I started with some discomfort (itching, slight pain) and I decided to visit a doctor.

The doctor looked around and said the skin was flexible and looking healthy. He also said the discoloration was "normal" (despite having appeared out of nowhere) and sent me back home. Eventually, things started to get more painful during sexual relations, and it also seems like my urethra is somewhat "different".

I went back to another doctor and explained the case. I also asked him to check for BXO and he said he sees no signs of BXO as the skin and the glans are healthy. At this time, I can see that the foreskin has a slightly hardened "ring" at the tip when I pull it over the glans. I showed it to the doctor, who said it "sometimes happens" (no reason given) and that a circumcision might be necessary in the future. He prescribed a steroidal + antifungal cream for two weeks. I finished the cream and things seem a bit better (the white part is now pinkish). However, I changed my opinion rapidly after sexual relations. Everything looks reddish and sore, becoming somewhat better three days after the fact.

I called the doctor back, but being things the way they are here in the US, he can only see me in 14 days. To make matters worse, I have an upcoming trip and would prefer to travel in a healthier state. Until I get this resolved, I'll have to abstain from sex (sigh).

Anyone seen anything similar to this?

Hi

Thanks a lot for your feedback.

I considered phimosis as well, but I believe the Urologist(s) would have diagnosed it right away. Furthermore, the skins retracts rather easily and I have good hygiene habits (Not saying it's not phimosis, just that it does not match the symptoms exactly).

Interestingly, these seems to be some discomfort in the glans when I squeeze it. It's hard to know exactly where the pain is coming from...

I'll need to find a third urologist to see what can be done. :(

Hi,
How are you? As your history suggests i think you are likely suffering from phimosis. This could be due to trauma, infection, improper hygeine etc.

As you have been taking treatment for the same and seen improvement continue the treatment. In case of recurrence of symptoms visit your doctor immediately. Circumcision can be considered in case of recurrence, because this reduces the chances of infection drastically.

Lastly abstain from sexual activity till your condition becomes completely normal.
All the best.
