Pain in urethra

I recently had a UTI for about 2 weeks. Now all of the symptoms are gone, but I still have a little discomfort in my urethra, not when I am urinating. I have no discomfort at all when i urinate, but I still sometimes have to go often. I am drinking a lot of fluids, so maybe that is why, but why do I still feel irritation in my urethra? It is not a strong pain, and it is not constant just annoying and you shouldn't 'feel' your urethra! I feel it when I move a certain way, or push like I am trying to go to the bathroom. Can an UTI cause it to irritate? Will it go away after a few days?

Thanks!

I have exactly the same now! Did you do anything to get rid of it or did it just disappear naturally?

I had an UTI back in July and I had the same problem. It wasn't really pain, but it was just a strange sensation. It did go away, but for me it took a while. I was put back on antibiotics a second time.
