Lump in the Vas Deferens

Im not sure what I should do.... I have recently noticed my boyfriend seems to have a small lump on what seems to be the Vas Deferens. He isnt someone who will easily go to the doctors and doesnt think it could be anything, he assumes im over reacting. I worry that it could be something major.
I found the lump by pushing upward on his right testicle it appeared on the upper back part of the testicle. It is very small and just seems outta place and I havent noticed it before.
He has in the past had genitle warts which has not re-occured in 3 years. But i know as a woman I now have high risks for uterus cancer due to it and i dont know if that would be the same for him?
What should I do?

Hi,
How are you? As he has already been exposed to STD he has more chances of infection, but as of now as you mentioned there is nothing worrying him so much, you can try convincing him to see a specialist. In the mean time it is better to have protected sex, so that infection is not transmitted.

In some kinds of chronic infection redness, fever and pain are not so evident. Also in varicocele there is dragging kind of pain. Prostatitis manifests with very mild pain.

So it is better to take an experts opinion on this.
Take care.

Thank you for the response. I was wondering as I read up on what you said, he doesnt seem to experience any pain however awhile ago he complained about pain in his testicles just at odd times which he thought he pulled something or squished them in his sleep. Could that have been the begining?

I did convince him to see his Family doctor (told him thats what i wanted for my birthday was to get it all check).....

Hi,
Thanks for writing in. Lump in the testicles can be due to varicocele, hydrocele, trauma etc. But as you mentioned at the back of the testicle this refers to epididymitis, inflammation of the tube that carries the sperm.
Also as the history suggests that he had been exposed to STD, this could also be the cause for inflammation of epididymis. Convince him to take the opinion of a urologist.
All the best.
